Parable of the Broken Mirror

By

My child, let me tell you a story.
There once was a mirror, crafted with care… shining with beauty, beyond all compare. It bore the design of the Maker above, reflecting His image… created in love.
But the mirror was dropped… shattered by choice… splintered by pain… cracked by each voice that whispered with venom, harsh and rough…
“You’ll never be worthy. You’re never enough.”
The world passed it by, in pieces and dust. Some trampled it harder, some whispered distrust. And the mirror believed, through sorrow and sin…
“I’ll never be whole. I’ll never shine again.”
But the Maker drew near. He stooped to the ground, gathering fragments the world left around. Not one sliver forgotten, not one edge ignored… each piece He collected, each piece He restored.
Piece after piece, He set them in place, not hiding the cracks, but weaving in grace. And each time He pressed a fragment anew, He whispered a promise, steady and true:
“This scar is forgiveness… this edge tells My mercy. This flaw you despised now reflects Me more clearly. What you thought worthless, I’ve placed by design, for it shines in the pattern that’s always been Mine.”
The mirror grew quiet, its courage was small, and whispered, “Lord, how can You love me at all? I forgive others quickly, but myself I condemn. I replay the ruin, again and again.”
And He replied: “My child, why cling to what’s buried? Why hold what I already carried? If My cross was enough for the world to renew… is it not enough for you?
Your shame was nailed there, your failures erased. Your silence, your secrets, all covered in grace. I don’t weigh your worth by the things you have done. I measure you only by the worth of My Son.
Not the past. Not the pain. But the perfect design I had written by name.
And when the mirror was finished… truly I tell you was spoken, reflecting the image of its Maker and He called it ‘Not Broken.’”
